Hybrid readings: text,
online, videos:
The main text, Religion
in American Life, serves as the foundation for your source of
learning in this course. Online quizzes and the final exam are based on what you
learn from this text. Be sure to reference the
chapter outlines and study guide questions provided by your professor.
Supplementary online
reading: while not required, reading these resources can
provide more details and/or a different perspective beyond the text that may
give you insight to issues you are asked to write about in periodic
essays.
These resources contain multiple pages, links
above go to the homepages. Specific pages linked to in schedule below, as
related to topics covered in text reading, (source indicated by above noted
initials). You might want to print these online readings. It can be easier to
read from paper than on the computer screen, plus you would then be able to
highlight and make notations in response to your reading.
Online Videos:
These videos
are the online part of your hybrid experience in this course. Treat them as
you would a lecture in the classroom. They (along with some other work)
substitute for the 50% of class sessions you are not attending in the
classroom. Clips noted below, as related to reading in our text.
